Personal use

The Personal license is intended for private, non-commercial use by the individual who purchases the file.

You may

• Use the image or video for your own private purposes
• Display it on your personal devices
• Use it as a personal desktop or mobile background
• Share it on your personal, non-commercial social media accounts
• Make prints or other reproductions for your own private use

You may not

• Use the file for business, advertising or promotional purposes
• Use it on behalf of an organization or commercial activity
• Sell, sublicense, redistribute or give away the digital file
• Offer the image or video through a stock library, download service or other distribution platform
• Use the work on products or merchandise offered for sale

Commercial use

The Commercial license permits the purchaser to use the selected image or video in connection with their business, organization, professional activity or commercial communication.

You may

• Use the work on company and organization websites
• Use it in business social media channels
• Use it in advertising and marketing material
• Use it in presentations, reports and publications
• Use it in printed promotional material
• Crop, resize and make reasonable adjustments required for the permitted use

You may not

• Sell, sublicense or redistribute the original digital file
• Make the original or substantially similar file available for others to download
• Offer the work through a stock image, stock video or media library
• Claim ownership or copyright in the photograph or video
• Use the work as a logo, trademark or other exclusive brand identifier
• Sell products where the photograph or video itself is the principal value of the product without a separate agreement

General terms

Both licenses are non-exclusive. The same photograph or video may be licensed to other customers.

A license applies to the purchaser identified with the purchase. A Commercial license purchased by a business or organization may be used within that organization for the purposes covered by the license, but the original file may not be transferred to another business or organization as a separately licensed asset.

Reasonable cropping, resizing and technical adjustments are permitted when necessary for an allowed use. Alterations that misrepresent the subject, the photographer or the nature of the original work are not permitted.

Attribution is appreciated but is not required unless otherwise agreed for a particular use. Where a credit is provided, the preferred credit is “Dag Vongraven / Vongraven Images”.

Copyright

Purchasing and downloading a file does not transfer copyright or ownership of the photograph or video. The purchase grants only the usage rights described by the selected license.

The original high-resolution file must not be redistributed, resold or made available to third parties except where access is technically necessary to produce an otherwise permitted use.
